I visited the Oak Court Mall instead. These shops would come and go as the years went on, and slowly the mall would have the boarded up spaces throughout the mall with the Mall of Memphis's logo on it. La Michoacana Mexican Ice Cream.

Make sure to stop by Forever 21 for the best deals! Also, in north MS, around Goodman Rd. Elvisgillies, Hickory Ridge Mall, with the exception of the Sears store, closed over two years ago after being hit by a tornado. However, it is scheduled to reopen Easter weekend. A local church bought it and is going to run it as a mall. It will be interesting to see how this turns out for them. Yes, they've had some kind of circus set up once a year in their parking lot the last couple of years.
It would be great if the church could make a go of it because its always bad for an area to have large, empty retail space. I wonder how the Hickory Ridge mall will do now they have reopened it.
I liked the size of it, not too big like Wolfchase to pop in and out and not too small like the Southland mall which I've never liked anyway. It used to be the place to go for me. But for a few years before the storm hit eating places outside it would start to close, then some shops in the mall would close. I wonder if the money spent and the parade and all can keep it going. People just got put off the area. I always liked going there, we'll see what happens, I'm not sure if it can bounce back, I'd like to see it though.
